The Stargazer Canton is a green-themed canton adjacent to the Central and Veiled cantons to the North. In the culture of Ikarus, this canton is meant to highlight the importance of astronomy to the city, even as religion exists so prominently on the Temple Canton.
Layout[]
This canton's layout is dominated by the enormous green domed Observatory at the center. The block palette of the buildings is a Prismarine Blocks and Bricks, as well as green glass. The waterways are also integrated into the architecture here in places.
In contrast to the focal point of the canton, the Observatory, most of the other buildings on the Stargazer canton are very pointy, even the Ventrils of Dark and Light.
The Observatory[]
This sub-district and main feature of the canton has the Theorist of Stars world boss as well as the Exarch's Star Cinema Dungeon.
Green Houses[]
The Green Houses (which are not the same as greenhouses[1]) are "micro activities", in which player can find interesting loot boxes and other easter eggs. These include mostly gems and meats.
Dungeons[]
Exarch's Star Cinema[]
This Dungeon is a multi-floor Dungeon that has a variety of enemies, which can be accessed by climbing the white quartz stairs of the Observatory. When killed, these enemies drop the Exarch's Favor Gear Set.
Player Houses[]
Laboratory Duplicity[]
Taking the appearance of a normal Green House, the Lab Dup (as it is often abbreviated) has a cute sign on the outside which bars entry, reading "ERIC AND ERICKA ARE NOT IN..."
Undercroft[]
Unlike the Undercroft of the Central Canton, these undercroft seem to be meant for public use. About the canton are several stairways downward into the ground that go to these very straightforward corridors. hEY somEONe AdD whERe thESe gO To. One other feature of this particular area is Shelter 37.
World Bosses[]
Theorist of Stars[]
Upon entry to the Observatory at ground level, there is a descent to what appears to be a cage. Atop this cage spawns the Theorist of Stars, a Vindicator with plenty of health.
The Theorist hits very heavily and quickly, but the main challenge of this world boss is the lava and fireballs from all around. As such, good Fire Protection or a Fire Resist Potion is recommended for this world boss. After this protection is donned, the best method is likely to use a ranged weapon so it is not aggressive. The Theorist of Stars drops the Cosmic Shredder, a golden axe with Some Enchantments.
The name Theorist of Stars is a nod to a particularly notorious player and pirate, Star_Theorist.
Ventril of Dark[]
The Ventril of Dark is a world boss on the easternmost altar of the Stargazer Canton. It is mirrored by the Ventril of Light.
Trivia[]
- The Ventril of Dark and Light are a foil to each other in a very similar way to the Executor of Song and War on the Temple Canton, and may draw inspiration from each other.
